MSD designed this 8201 Pro Power Race Ignition Coil for use in racing applications with an MSD 7 or 8 series ignition only! It features MSDs new U-Core winding design that produces more voltage and current than previous designs. It also has a durable and high dielectric polyester housing with a tall isolated tower as well as brass primary terminals.

This coil has a maximum voltage of 43,000 Volts and a Peak Current of 800mA! The iron U-Core design has a Dupont Rynite FR946 segmented bobbin for improved voltage distribution. This material has incredible dielectric capabilities at high temperatures. In addition, the primary and secondary windings are encased in Ciba polyurethane for vibration protection.

Together, these materials create a durable coil with incredible voltage capabilities, lightning quick rise time as well as lengthy spark duration.
