MSD designed this 8223 Blaster 3 Ignition Coil as an upgrade from a stock coil, or to compliment the performance of your MSD Blaster, 5, 6, as well as 7 ignitions! It features an extra tall tower design that improves the coil wire attachment as well as spark isolation and has a 90 degree terminal and boot.

This Blaster Coil is designed for a maximum output of 45,000 volts, a significant improvement over stock ignition coils! Special 100:1 windings as well as lower primary resistance provide maximum voltage build-up. This coil is kept cool as well as securely held in an oil-filled metal canister. The Alkyd tower offers high dielectric properties as well as being less prone to carbon tracking.

The Blaster Coil is designed to mount in most factory canister coil mounts. MSD recommends mounting this coil in an upright position.
