MSD designed this 8207 Street/Strip Blaster Ignition Coil as an upgrade from a stock coil to compliment the performance of your MSD 6 ignition! It features efficient E-core windings, and a tough, rigid Rynite housing with a tall tower as well as brass primary terminals.

Don’t let the compact size of the Blaster SS Coil fool you, because it is packed with performance! The efficient E-core windings produce high amounts of current without sacrificing the voltage output. When used with an MSD 6 Series Ignition, the Blaster SS produces 300 milliamps of current and maximum voltage output of 40,000 volts!

Note: If installing the Blaster SS Coil to a points distributor as well as a non-current limiting ignition system without an MSD Ignition, a 0.8 ohm ballast resistor is required (MSD PN 8214). The resistor should wire in series as well as with any factory resistors on the positive coil wire.
