MSD designed this 5591 Street Fire EFI Distributor for Chevy V8 engines with an external coil for the value-conscious. It features an advance assembly with coated weights as well as welded weight pins (not just pressed in like other models). It also has the same gear used on the Pro-Billet models. The metallurgy of this gear has been refined for years to perform through the harshest conditions.

Inside, the ignition module as well as the coil work together to produce a stout spark to light the fuel mixture for great performance. The high voltage is also transferred through a new rotor to the brass terminals of the distributor cap and out to the plugs.
