MSD designed this 83503 Ready-To-Run Distributor for 351C/351M-460 Ford big block V8 engines. This distributor is the perfect upgrade for large HEIs, bulky DuraSpark, OE electronic as well as ancient points systems, and comes complete and ready-to-run. Just drop it in, connect three wires as well as the coil and fire up your engine!

Beneath the bolt down cap and MSD race rotor, you’ll find MSD’s accurate mechanical advance assembly, which can easily be locked out for all-out racing use! The supplied springs as well as stop bushings allow you to tune an advance curve to match your application. Plus, there is a vacuum advance canister to increase economy on long drives. For protection, there is also an easy-to-set rev limiter.

Each distributor features an ignition module that produces a powerful inductive spark to improve combustion of the fuel mixture as well as resulting in quick starts, smooth idle and increased performance.

The CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum housing of this distributor is 5/8″ smaller in diameter to accommodate induction setups as well as tight engine compartments. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup is responsible for triggering the high voltage sparks, outperforming stock ignitions. A sealed ball bearing guides an oversized shaft that has a QPQ coating for friction reduction as well as resistance to corrosion.
